How to become a Member

Redemption DNA

We believe that membership matters in the life of a church.

Here is our four-step process.

1—Membership (DNA) Class. This class, which is spread across two two-hour sessions, explores the heartbeat of our church. We cover three main topics and unpack their structure, importance within the Christian life, and relationship to the church.

  • The Gospel and Mission: How the gospel sends us.
  • Statement of Faith: What we believe, including what the gospel is, and what it isn’t.
  • The Church: The importance of the local church, how it functions, and how the church and God’s Word shape our lives together.

2- Membership Interview. After the membership class, an interview is scheduled with one or two elders. During this meeting, the elders get to know you better, answer any further questions, and hear your testimony.

3- Elder Recommendation. The elders review the testimony and present a recommendation to the congregation for a congregational vote.

4- Church vote. Once all these steps are completed, the congregation will vote at a members’ meeting to accept the applicant for membership.

Membership class

Membership (DNA) classes are held every few months. If you would like to learn more about the gospel or are interested in joining Redemption Church, we would love for you to come along.

Snacks and hot drinks will also be provided and you’re welcome to bring children too.
