Realize that when you read, you are putting investments in a bank from which to draw, even if it doesn’t appear to have direct relevance. And realize you’re never going to read everything. We will die with things we wish we had read. But the fact is too many people do not read. The problem for most is not that they are learning too much, but that they aren’t learning enough. (Dr. Al. Mohler)
While nothing can replace the Word of God, the books we choose to read can profoundly impact us. Cultivating a love for good literature can enhance our lives in many ways! Christian literature helps us know, grow, understand, teach, and uplift one another. A diverse selection of books enriches our comprehension of various subjects and perspectives.
In our book clubs, we strive to select books that cover a range of genres, including Theology, Christian Living, Biographies, Church History, and Culture. These choices are intended to spark thought, foster dialogue, and inspire discussion as we pursue knowledge and growth in our Christian journey.
At Redemption Church, we offer book clubs for both men and women. We curate six books to read every two months. After each book, we hold a collaborative group discussion, during which participants engage in conversations, share reviews, and reflect on how the books have influenced their growth in the Lord.
The June-July books are:
- (Men) How People Change by Timothy Lane and Paul David Tripp.
- (Women) Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan.
The discussion date is scheduled for 20th July at the church premises.
To attend, you do not need to have read the books. Join us and be enriched by the fellowship and discussion.
