Who We Are

Who We Are

Historical

As a church, we are historical and affirm the early creeds and confessions.

Nicene Creed. Reaffirming the teaching of scripture that Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God. God from God, Light from Light. True God from True God, begotten not made, of the same essence as the father.

Athanasian Creed. A statement of belief focused on Trinitarian doctrine and Christology.

Chalcedonian Creed. Affirming the two natures (divine and human) of the Incarnate Christ.

Evangelical and Reformed

As a church, we hold onto the Five Solas of the Reformation.

Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone): The Bible is the sole, inerrant, and final authority for the church and the believer.

Sola Fide (Faith Alone): Justification is through faith alone in Christ’s work.

Sola Gratia (Grace Alone): Salvation is a free gift from God, entirely by His grace.

Solus Christus or Solo Christo (Christ Alone): Christ is the only mediator between God and man; salvation is found exclusively in Him.

Soli De Gloria (Glory to God Alone): All glory is due to God alone for salvation, as it is His work from beginning to end.

We are centered on God, based on God’s Word alone, committed to faith alone, devoted to Jesus Christ. We believe in the sovereignty of God in salvation. Our chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

Complementarian

As a church, we hold to the theological belief that men and women are created equal in worth, but designed with distinct, complementary roles in marriage and the church.

Gospel Centered

Our mission is to be Christ-centered and Christ exalting church that centers on the Word of God and to proclaim the finished work of Jesus Christ, who saves us from sin.

Baptistic

We hold to baptism as an ordinance commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is for those who have repented and put their faith and trust in Jesus for the remission of sins. Baptism expresses union with him in his death and resurrection.

Expositional

As a church, we practice expositional preaching by working through the books of the Bible during our Sunday services. This approach emphasizes the authority, clarity, and intent of Scripture, allowing the biblical text to guide the message rather than the preacher’s opinions.

Missional

God is a God on mission, and He has sent the church to participate in that mission. The church stands as a sign that the kingdom of God has already begun on earth and offers a preview of the complete reign to come.
